Caddo Mills, Texas will be a bee hive of activity as the Texas Pro-kart Challenge gets underway Saturday and Sunday. The challenge will be held at the Dallas Karting Complex located on FM 1565 North near Exit 83 on I-30 in Caddo Mills. Racing starts at 10:30 on both days. Purchase your parking permit and entrance fee at the gate.
The Caddo Mills facility is the result of hard work by Mike Jones and Kevin Adds. The complex is a full fledged race track and has been open four years. Karts routinely travel 55 miles per hour plus at the complex. It is the only one of this caliber in Texas at the time.
DKC also sells and rents Sodi chassis manufactured by Bombardier of Austria. Anybody can rent a kart. In fact, practice laps today start with the young set, seven to ten years of age. Competition karts such as the one featured in the photograph frequently exceed 100 MPH.
