Marjorie Ethridge, 94 of Tyler, formerly of Greenville, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 in Tyler. Funeral services will be Friday, October 23rd at 2 P.M. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Daw and Brandon Watson. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Friday until service time.
Mrs. Ethridge was born on July 29, 1921 in Cumby to Grady Taylor and Marie (Fry) Taylor. She married Sam Ethridge on December 25, 1941 in Cumby. She retired from Henson’s as a pattern cutter, and she was a member of West Erwin Church of Christ in Tyler.
She is survived by her son, A.D. Ethridge of Palestine; daughter, Jean Parish of Tyler; brother, Norris Taylor of Utah; grandchildren, Sammy Ethridge, Rob Parish, Chris Ethridge, Holly Parish, Katie Ethridge, and Brittani Handorf; and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband on February 18, 2014; grandson, Andy Parish; and two brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Rob Parish, Grant Jonas, Chris Ethridge, John Paul Willabay, Sammy Ethridge and Ferrell Nalls.
Memorials may be made to Johnson Street Church of Christ Youth Group.
