Louis Torres, Jr., 62, of Quinlan went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 30, 2015 in Greenville. Funeral services celebrating Louis’ life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 3, 2015 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Rev. Lance Eiland officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Rockwall. Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Transformation Church of God, 508 E. Richmond Avenue, Quinlan, Texas.
Louis was born July 23, 1953 in Wharton, Texas to Juanita Hernandez Torres and the late Louis Torres, Sr. He was raised and attended school in Kaufman, Texas. On November 28, 1991 he married Ludivina Hernandez in Terrell, Texas and they made their home in Quinlan. For many years, Louis was owner and operator of Pop’s Honey Fried Chicken in Tyler, as well as other locations. Louis loved sports and was an avid Dallas Mavericks fan, and also enjoyed rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. Louis also enjoyed reading, loved his church, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father and also his sister Rosa Maria Torres.
He is loved and will be missed by his wife Ludivina Torres of Quinlan; son Randy Casas of Quinlan; daughters Monica Harris and husband Richard of Greenville, Yvonne Michael and husband Gary of Greenville, and Grace Vargas of Tyler; Eight grandchildren; Mariah, Devan, Will, Sophia, Trent, Elliot, Taylea, and Christina; One great-grandson, Kason; brothers John Torres, Sr. and wife Sarah of Dallas, Rick Torres and wife Norma of Orlando, Florida.
