Ferris State officially received the school’s second consecutive NCAA Division II Playoff appearance as the Bulldogs were tabbed as the number two seed in Super Region Four during the official NCAA Selection Show on Sunday evening. A total of 28 teams from the four super regions received NCAA Playoff berths.

FSU’s berth in the NCAA Division II Playoffs will represent the seventh appearance in school history with the first five berths prior to the last two years all coming during a memorable five-year stretch from 1992-96. The Bulldogs posted the highest finish in school history by reaching the national semifinals in 1995.

Ferris State, which is consensus top-five team in every national poll, capped off the school’s second consecutive unbeaten regular-season with a decisive 38-7 triumph over Walsh this past Saturday at Top Taggart Field.

FSU will enter the playoffs with a perfect 10-0 record and the Bulldogs also claimed the school’s second-straight GLIAC Championship this year.
