It Is Hot

The temperature broke 103 degrees yesterday and hovered near One-hundred this afternoon.  Be sure to drink plenty of water. Caffeinated drinks will not relieve thirst. Military survival schools have often drilled the fact that if you are thirsty then you are becoming extremely dehydrated and on the way to heat stroke.

Our job and other commitments require us to work.  Be sure to take proper steps to prevent heat related illness.  Please make sure that your pets have plenty of water as well.

John Emmeritt and his helper from Hedrick Outdoor Media fold up an old sign banner in the heat of the white hot afternoon near the Boyle Cemetery at 9201 Wesley Street.
