County law enforcement officers and administrators were treated to a steak luncheon prepared by Superintendent Don Jeffers and Dennis Russell of the independent school district.  Dennis lifted the lid of the smoker and declared another five minutes for the rib eye steaks.  The Neighborhood Walmart Market donated the steaks for the luncheon.

Friendlee, afternoon drive time DJ, for KGVL’s Legends, Texans and Outlaws radio did an on air interview before scurrying off to the Bras for the Cause preparation uptown.

Middle school students escorted the officers to the cafeteria and serving line.  Alliance Bank and others donated a swag bag of gifts for the officers.

Sergeant Jason Gore went through the serving line picking up a steak, baked potato and salad.  He remarked “come and get it”. He expressed his thanks to the citizens of Greenville and Hunt County for standing up for the blue.
