The 10th Annual Cotton Belt Railroad Symposium will take place Friday evening, at 5:30 PM, October 2, 2015 and continue on through lunch on Saturday October 3rd at the Sam Rayburn Student Center in Commerce. Railroaders that are young and old, active and retired, hobbyist and Hunt County Historians are invited to this free symposium.
The 10th Annual Cotton Belt Regional Railroad Symposium is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Harley Davis. Harley was instrumental in founding, planning, organizing, and hosting the event every year since its inception. Dr. Harley Davis was a respected board member of the Northeast Texas Rail District from Delta County. His presence will be missed.
A few vendors will have tables set up with books, DVDs, CDs and other memorabilia commemorating the Cotton Belt Railroad that plied the rails between Greenville and Commerce, Ft. Worth to Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Tyler to St. Louis, Missouri.
