Lori Cope will become executive director of Casa for Hunt County.  She is replacing Celeste Prather-Young.  Celeste will be moving to the Quality Assurance section in Austin.  Casa is a Court Appointed Special Advocates that monitors children placed into foster care.  Volunteers often interact with these children and their foster parents. These volunteers advocate education and medical status of kids placed into the system.

CASA envisions a safe and positive future for all Texas children.  In addition, the organization supports a network of volunteers through programs that affect public policy in the Child Protective Services (CPS).  Should you decide that this volunteer program may be right for you then call Lori at (903) 450-4410 for more information.

Former Texas Senator, Dr. Bob Duell presented a special gift in the amount of $500.00 from the Greenville Daybreak Rotary Club as part of the club’s service projects in Greenville and Hunt County.
