The 30th annual Bois d’Arc Bash started today with a parade.  Vendors set up tents and food concessionaires started to prepare their wares. Smoke wafted over the crowd announcing everything from Wood Fired Pizza to hamburgers and hot dogs.

The Ben E. Keith Stage was set up in the square.  Various bands were introduced by Master of Ceremony, Friendlee, the popular DJ on Country Legends and Texas Outlaw Radio KGVL 1400.  The Blandells’ music caused the street to come alive with dancing by young and old.  The Bois d’Arc Queens were presented to the delight of the crowd.

The crowd started to disperse to the comfort of air conditioning around 2:30 PM as the temperature soared into the mid nineties.
