Michael Campbell has been styling hair for the last twenty-seven years. Twenty-four years have been in Greenville, Texas. He is the proprietor of the Side Street Salon now located in the upstairs loft above the Calico Cat in the Uptown Forum on Lee Street.
Michael’s hobby is sketching native American peoples. He uses images made by the late Edward Curtis for his inspiration. Curtis took pictures of the native people in their finest dress just before the soldiers moved the people to reservations throughout the southwest. Michael has large selection of prints ready for framing.
Michael earned his certificate in cosmetology working in Austin and Dallas. He has a passion for new trends and techniques (some teetering on the edge) of current styling for both women and men’s fashion. Whether you are interested in prints featuring native American peoples or the next fashion trend then make the short trip to the Uptown Forum to meet artist Michael Campbell.
