Laura Jones and Ashly Gardner have brought their 45 years of combined experience in the food and beverage industry to historic downtown Greenville with the opening of The Ashen Rose. Located at 2809 Lee street, The Ashen Rose as been a long journey of 2 friends each with a passion for quality food and excellent service.

Laura said that they, she and Ashly, were “Kind of unhappy working for corporate” and said “let’s do this for ourselves now”, thus the idea for the Ashen Rose was born. Each of these adventurous women bring a strength to the business that will lead to a wonderful experience each time you visit. Laura is the front of the house personality whom you may have seen in a restaurant before. I myself had met her a time or two in the past and upon walking in the door she welcomed me by name and even remembered what my particular drink of choice was. Ashly is absolutely passionate about food. When answering a question about one of the menu items, you could see her light up with enthusiasm about the overall quality of the product and just how much research that had been performed to ensure that they were serving the highest quality food possible.

The project started in January of 2015 and after 8 months of hard work and renovation performed a small army of friends and family, the Ashen Rose has taken shape and is in it’s soft opening stage. With a full bar and enticing menu items like the homemade cheese sticks and chicken fried bacon for appetizers to the Ashen Burger or a Pig in a bun as entrees there really is something for everyone.

Hours of operation are Monday thru Thursday 11 am until 10 pm, Fridays until midnight and Saturdays until 1 am. There is a consideration for opening during Cowboys games on Sunday’s if that’s what their customers want.
